he thirteenth century: For some, the dark ages, an age of filth and backwardness, of famines and cruel autocrats. For others, a time of majestic cathedrals reaching to the heavens, an age of heroic deeds and even more heroic men. A century in which a famous Czech king was born - the Knight King as he was known - Jan of Luxembourg, father of Karel (Charles) IV , the Father of the Czech Nation.
Transport yourself to this era with us. To the court of an anonymous French nobleman, who is hosting a spectacular tournament. The victorious knight will not only gain the hand of the princess, but will also become the next ruler of the land. Only the best and finest knights have the privilege of participating and testing their strength in the fight.
But not all of these knights are honorable. There are those who may be masters of their weapons - whether sword, axe, mace, or lance - excellent in their horsemanship and their dueling and jousting skills, and unafraid to face any adversary. Their intentions, however, are not always as pure as the knightly code of honor would demand. Perhaps they may even be entangled with the devil! And now the knights are saddling their horses and preparing their weapons to face this evil, which threatens the lives of all!
Only a face-to-face fight will determine the final outcome - a fight accompanied by the clanking of weapons, the neighing of horses, and fierce battle cries in the arena.
Come visit our arena, and place your stakes on the brave knights in their fearless fight. Come watch the fateful, decisive tournament - a tournament the likes of which the world has not ever seen!
The knights of the theatre troupe
look forward to your visit!
